# Duplicate a notebook

Notebook Clipper lets you duplicate a notebook in Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) with its sources and artifacts, so you can start a variant from an existing notebook instead of rebuilding it. The copy is made by Gemini Notebook itself, so it is a notebook of its own, and the original is not changed.

## Duplicate the notebook

There are three places to duplicate a notebook.

### From the app

1. **Open the app on Notebooks**
In the Notebook Clipper app, click Notebooks in the sidebar.
2. **Click More on the notebook’s row, then Duplicate**
More is the three-dot icon at the right end of the row, and Duplicate is the third item of its menu. The copy appears in the list when it is done.

### From the side panel

1. **Open the side panel on the Notebooks tab**
Click the Notebook Clipper icon in your browser’s toolbar, then click Notebooks. The tab lists your notebooks with their number of sources, and clicking one shows its sources.
2. **Click More on the notebook’s row, then Duplicate**
More is the three-dot icon at the right end of the row, and Duplicate is the third item of its menu. The copy appears in the list when it is done.

### From the Gemini Notebook home page

1. **Open the Gemini Notebook home page**
Your notebooks are cards on My notebooks, the first tab at the top of the page.
2. **Click More on the notebook’s card, then Duplicate**
More is the three-dot icon at the top right of the card, and Duplicate is the last item of its menu. The copy appears in the list when it is done.
